Duo Prop question

I have a 2006 Chapparal Signature 276 with a 5.7L Gxi 320HP Dual Prop I/O. What props do I need and can I change them in the ocean water or must I pull the boat out of the water? And I hit a rock and bent the current stainless steel prop blades, how would I know if I damaged the shaft or outdrive? The boat seems to still work fine.

As long as you can get the props above water level you should be ok. You'll just have to be very careful with the nut and washer and not lose them in the water. Also depends on how tight the nut is and whether you can get it off without an impact wrench. As far as telling if you damaged the shaft you'd really need to take it out of the water and put a mic on it and spin it to see if it's bent or not if you can't tell with the naked eye.
