I have a 93 marada 5.8 it was left outside behind my work for years the gastank door (part of the floor) was missing the rest of the wood rails were rotted so i cut them out and part the floor was bad so i cut the bad parts out the foam underneath was wet i cut new plywood for the floor do i leave the foam or take it out i am also redoing the electric and all new wood side panels and (lots of other things) so i will need to find new like 3/8 foam and like waterproof pleather or whats best to do here please and thank you

I would absolutely replace the foam just to be on the safe side. It is most likely waterlogged. I'm not sure what you mean about 3/8 foam though. :confused: If you do a quick search on a site like west marine, or the store here at iboats.com, you should be able to find what you are looking for.

Also... an occasional period in your paragraph would help. :D

you need to go and read some of the threads in boat restoration abd rebuilding........... you probably have more rot than you think

Do some reading here in restoration to see how far down you might have to investigate.
