Re: high idle when start up.
Dang... 2300 sounds awful high. Most EFI engines have "fast idle" in lieu of a choke on a carb engine. Many times, this "fast idle" can be re-programmed. I would it to my local dealer to have that done.
I personally don't like too fast of an idle, because I like to give the oil pressure time to come up to 60-80 PSI, and it sometimes takes a second or two to do so. Meanwhile, the engine is running at 2300 with little to no oil pressure. Over time, in my mind, this wears hard on the engine. Thanks Valvoline commercials...
