1977 mecury 1150 lower unit

Hi all,
I have a 1977 mercury 1150 that has no lower end. I am having a hell of a time trying to find out what lower units might work for this motor.
I have spent quiet a bit of time looking on the net and still no clue. Any help or even a point in the right direction would help a ton. Thanks guys

John, Any Lower unit from any 4 or 6 cylinder inline Merc from the early 70s to the late 80s will work. Your LU has a 2::1 gear ratio. Most on the LU are the same. Some LUs from the 4 cylinder models will be 2.3::1

As Chris said any inline 4 or 6. But not the newer 4. I wouldn't recommend the older 4 cylinder as it doesn't hold up to the inline 6. The later 1980's models inline 6 lower units with the swept back skeg and square cavitation plate are the best, so try and find one of those.
