Service it? To what end? To accomplish what? What do you need serviced?

There are a lot of things you can have done to it, what does it need?

Leaking oil?
Where?
Color?
Smell?
What kind of oil?
TCW-3 oil residue from the fuel?
Lower unit gear lube?

You are gonna have to give us a little more to work with.

If you are gonna work on it yourself, you will need either a factory or a Clymer service manual.

We can help. but the manual is gonna walk you through things in detail.

Re: 50 force motor

Black or dark brown gassy smelling oil is typical and normal.
It is a mixture of the unburned exhaust residue.
It exits the powerhead and flows out with the cooling water discharge, thru the motor leg.

The residue often builds up in the leg and lower unit.
It then slowly drips out, usually thru one of the weep holes or a seam between the leg and the lower unit.

Does no harm except for to leave a stain on the driveway.

White smoke and corroded spark plugs would suggest a blown head gasket. Not too hard of a job if you're mechanically inclined
