Want to take out the old prestolite dizzy and replace with the Delco kit. Boat is a 1988 bayliner 2455 with a 5.7 Vortec full 1.6 roller cam engine. Fired up the engine in the garage and it ran fine. My question is will this be a plug and play system? There seems to be some that have tried the electronic dizzy with the CDI ESA fix but seem to be so many varibles. I have read several posts where people say just stick with the points. Well I don't mind spending the money for the system if it works and shifts right. Any help would be appreiciated.

EST works very well with a cobra drive and you can eliminate the ESA module.
rewire the shift inturrupt circuit to look like the mercruiser system using EST.
