i think the brand name is torqueedo. they claim it can muster 6hp and runs for 3 hours on a charge. sounds like it would be good for a sm fishing boat...anyone have one?

I priced them, they cost a small fortune and you need the "iron oxide" battery's to meet the endurance goal they claim...also very expensive. A small kicker is way less expensive, maybe 1/4 as much with no range limitations and about the same weight.

Unless you have an "electric" only lake and have money to burn not worth it.

What 4JC said.

A little math. 6hp=about 4.5KiloWatts.

To make 4.5 KW from 12V requires about 375 amps.

To make 4.5KW from 24V requires about 190 amps.

To do it for 3 hours requires over 1100 amp hours of 12V batteries. Can you count to ten?

None of the above consider losses, so add 20-25% for heat losses.

A small fishing boat probably couldn't carry that much battery.
