I have a 1993 Mariner 40hp Magnum 4 Cylinder 2 Stroke Motor, Serial # 0D236658 (Not sure if it?s a Zero or an O at the beginning). Last year my son ran diesel through it.
The engine was flushed and the carbs rebuilt. New NGK Plugs a few times and have replaced the diaphragms in the fuel pump. The engine run excellent once started but is difficult to start. If I squirt some Seafoam into the carbs and throttle it up full it will eventually start.
It runs, ideals and throttles up and down great once running, but is a chore to get it started.
Should I be using Champions vice NGK or am just I missing anything?
