Cross Reference Part Numbers 1982 35 Hp

I need a Housing Assy, Bearing , P/N 0387023 for my 1982 Johnson 35 Hp. The Housing Assy, Bearing I pulled out of my motor has the number 3106232 on it. When I tried to cross that number it fails to cross to any part number. I don't know the history of this motor and I want to be sure I get the right part.

P/N 0387023 is the OMC/BRP part #. 3106232 is either a outsource part # or a casting #.

Always go by the part number from the book. The number cast into the part is the number of the raw casting before it went through any machining or secondary operations. Only in cases where the raw casting is sold as a finished part will the numbers match.

Casting # make sense.
