I have a 1996 Johnson 150, my shifting cable broke at the small black plastic piece that is welded on to the metal part of the cable this was the original cable, no reverse just forward. Put a brand new cable in and after using it a couple of times the new cable broke at the same spot again the small plastic piece welded to the metal part of the cable. Any idea what is going on?
