Is there anything good to spray into my drum brakes for their long winter sleep to help stop rust etc.?
I would love to keep the trailer as healthy as possible.
I would assume any grease like product would ruin the pads.

Thanks Ike

Light lube of any moving parts with the exception of the pads and drum surfaces. Can't just "spray" something in generally as far as I know. Drum rust will be quickly removed with the first few applications of the brakes in the spring.

Re: Trailer winterization

Hello all, thanks for the info so far!! Nice video some good info, but somewhat limited.
Regards to a 'spray", without it your are forced to remove the drum to only spray everything except the pads. Yes I am looking to be lazy and realistic. Maybe for winterization, annually, removing the drums is OK, but I was hoping for something that I could do after each saltwater dunk as well.
Any other thoughts?? Thanks Ike

For the winter, ensure fluid resevoir is full and part it. In the spring, give it a good once over inspection, and take it for a spring tow to activate brakes and know off the rust.

As far as after each salt water dunk, install a flush kit...
