Re: new old boat

You'd be lucky to find parts for a new boat,
so 50 yr old parts are out of the question.

PArts will come from Home Depot, just make em like we all do.

Welcome fishingfreak.

Finding parts will be like scavenger hunt, but it is part of the adventure. Check all the usual places, ebay, cl, boat yards, ask around. You may have to compromise, but that's ok.

Good luck.

Thats good.:)
Just clean the parts up.
Other missing parts just have to be adapted from other boats or whatever you can make work for you.

You might be able to find some history on your boat at fiberglassics.com

I found once I got started on my reno job the historical factor went out the window, now its a new boat, not restored to original, but better from the hull up. Its been a very rewarding experience.

Well i thank you for all your opinions. I suppose I need to think about how I should go about this. I guess I could always keep the styling of the old and redo the inside to new and classy style.
