My trim stopped working on me a while back and I just got around to pulling the motor out. I found one of the wires that was soldered to the motor about to fall off so I assumed that was the problem. I put a whole new cap on the motor (new connections) and put it back together and I still get nothing.
The solenoid is clicking so that tells me the power is getting to the solenoid... I don't know what else it could be.
Is it possible to jump the solenoid with a screwdriver like a starter? Is there a way to see if the solenoid is bad? I have a feeling one of the wires may be corroded and causing low voltage but I can't get a multimeter on it until I get another person to work the switch.
