1977 mercury115 fails to start

Hi i have a 115 hp mercury outboard 6cyl 2 stroke. unit has no power at the coil and has no spark, i have to by pass start solonoid to crank unit and when i do there is no spark at plugs. magnito generates 6v on both wires and seems to work o.k, think it could be engine module? any help would be apreciated thanks.

There is a sticky on this site to troubleshoot that distributor igntion. Off hand, I would say there is no power from the ignition switch to the switchbox (white wire), nor on the yellow starter solenoid wire. I would investigate th eignition switch. Does the choke work? If so, it is run off the white wire as well.
