I'm attempting to help a friend get his boat going before it's time to forget about it this year. He removed his starter solenoid a few years back and is just now ready to replace it. The only problem is he dosen't remember where the different wires go. Ooops! Pretty basic r & r principle: write it down or group the wires with a tie to help on instalation! He has a 1987 Mercury "classic 50" 45h.p. engine. He says there are two big wires: a red and a black. 3 smaller black wires, 1 small yellow, 1 small red. I believe the two large wires go on the large posts (batt power and the cable to the starter) but I don't have a clue how to arrange the smaller wires on the other posts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
