Default Bow hatch

Just curious but i have a 67 starcraft holiday with a solid windshield. Up front there is a hatch that opens up top of the bow..what was the main purpose of having that?

It's an escape hatch to use if you are boarded by pirates!!! However.... you can use it for anchoring and retreiving the anchor or airflow

I have a 67 Starcraft Starchief that also has a hatch like that. My kid uses it to get up to the bow. For me, I only use it to retrieve the anchor I keep in the cuddy.

I have the same hatch.. and with my low cabin roof... it's difficult for me to manuver through, I need to find out what type of weatherstripping fits.. If anyone knows and coule tell me that would be great, thanks.

hey kainon, the weather strip on mine is a 1/4 " vinyl tubing split down the middle and glued on ..pretty sure it was original.
