Default Hin

The original HIN plate is missing on my boat but the registration card has it listed as #129385265. What if anything does this tell me about the boat and can i just make a new tag and restamp the info onto it ..or better yet, does anyone have a good pic of there tag that i can scan and print onto a piece of aluminum and then stamp my info?

Matt, someone else had a missing tag from their boat on another thread but I don't recall how they dealt with it. It's in IBoats somewhere,Might be able to search it. Here's mine but I don't know how much it will help because it's rough.

Here's mine.. I removed it when I was redoing my transom, scanned it.. this is the "small" scan.. it's actually about 4 inches long and maybe 1" wide with 1 hole at each end.

The only thing would be the last 2 numbers.. being '65.. it could be your year, and usually is.. but.. maybe not.
