I have my 72' 65 HP 3 cylinder all together...ran it last weekend and all is pretty well.
It does occationally die on idle...like when shifting from F-N-R....havn't really tried to adjust the fuel mixtures or idle stop yet.
Wanted to touch on the choker nipple on the water P tube. Seems like I always want to bypass or reem them out....seen them get plugged many times.
First question...will these motors overheat if the P tube gets plugged?
Second question....looking at putting a nipple in there to choke it down some so the motor runs a little warmer(to help at idle)...anyone know what the proper size is? I was thinking around 1/8".
Currently it's 5/16...
