Having trouble wiring my bow light. Switch is a toggle with 3 connections, 2+ and 1-. I have power to the switch but the light will not work.

If its a light that is removable check voltage at the base if not try replacing bulbs.

Use a tester to check for voltage at the light. If no voltage just follow the wires back. Remember there has to be two wires to complete the flow.

Thank you boat1010. I will try that again. I'm guessing this should be simple.

Yep it is pretty simple, but can be a pain. All you have to remember is that the electricity has to have a path to flow from positive to negative. Just sometime finding why it will not flow can be pretty frustrating. On a car it is pretty simple, you just use the frame for the ground. A boat has to have two wires. Hope that helps. Happy boating.
