Fuel leak

Hi, I'm having some problems with my Mercury 80 horsepower. First question is, what's a fair cost/estimate for replacing a gear set in my motor, and secondly, I noticed where there is fuel leaking from the bottom of the top intake/carb.....I'm not motor savvy, so I really need some help.
