Default 94 Mariner Therostat and Fuel

Looks like the thermostat and fuel filter has never been changed.
This motor runs so good I hate to mess with it. It doesn't miss or run hot.
Should I change the thermostat and fuel filters anyway?
And is this an easy job or should I take it into a shop?

Thanks for helping with the solinoid problem.

extremely easy to perform.
it may run good now,,it may not run for long if you don't change these items.

It will take about 20 minutes for both thermo and the filter.

what motor is it?

If you run in salt water, or since it's never been off, lube the bolts really well and let it sit for awhile before you remove the t-stat cover. Believe me...you don't want to break the bolts off. Take them out very slowly and carefully.
