I just threw out an old tube of "Chicago Manufacturing and Distribution Co. anti-scoring, extreme pressure Lubricant No.3" the other day, and low and behold, I need it today.

Just kidding. Can I use Perfect Seal on the crankshaft end and inside diameter of rotor? Or 2-4-C grease?

Gun oil??? It's gun oil! Maybe I have a bottle of CLP stashed in a dufflebag somewhere.

It's a press fit. (NOT a hammer on fit, use correct tool) A bit of oil on the shaft and bore to prevent galling is all that is needed.

Thanks. I did manage to borrow an installer.

And of course the Snap-On harmonic balancer installer doesn't work. I made one out of all-thread, a piece of pipe, a few fender washers, and three nuts. Worked well.
