Is it possible to mount 2 transducers to the transom (one on each side of the motor) without the two interfering?

Re: Mounting transducers

If mounting that far apart, as you have described, probably so. I say probably because if they are operating on the same frequency simultaneously, it's anyone's guess if they will interfere with one another. Some have success ...many others do not. If operating on different frequencies simultaneously, you should experience no interference issues.

Re: Mounting transducers

I have 2 ducers, one shoot thru, the other transom mounted, but on the same side. I only experience interference at high speed.

Re: Mounting transducers

I have two on the back of my boat and also only have interference with the one on the left side when running at high speed. However i found that the interference was coming from the prop wash and not the other transducer. Just mount them as far apart as possible and you should be fine.

How did you determine the cause? I only get interference on my shoot thru at high speed, not sure if it's turbulence or the other signal.

That's easy, turn off the fish finder connected to one and see if you still get interference.

I only have one but I get interference at high speed also due to cavitation. I shoot through hull, was far worse when it was transom mounted.
