Help finding powerhead for 2.5 Evinrude

Hi,

I have an 1988 Evinrude 2.5 (E3RCCM). It's frozen and it looks like I need a used powerhead. The rest of the motor looks to be in great shape so I would like to rebuild it. I haven't taken it all apart yet but the pistons and cylinders don't look too good so I'd rather just replace the entire powerhead. Where is the best place to look for one?

At the top of this page,where it says powerheads.,
Oops,I just checked and they don't have any 2.5 heads.

isn't a 1988 Evinrude 2.5 a single?

There are 2 pistons. My friend is going to help me tear it apart and we'll see what it looks like. I just hope we get around to this before Christmas!

Would a 2.5 be used on a canoe or something like that? Before you go an buy a powerhead , have you tried getting it unstuck??? Unless is is rusted inside it could just need a good few days of soaking to get it moving again, worth a shot.

Hell, I would just rebuild the one you have. Parts are obtainable and it's not a hard job to do.
