Default Fuel Tank Dimensions

I'm looking for the fuel tank dimensions for my 1998 Lund 1800 Fisherman boat. I'm presently unable to take these measurements myself as my boat has been put away for the winter and I would like to acquire a new reed type fuel sender for the fuel tank as my present one doesn't seem to be registering properly. The tank holds 40 US gallons of fuel. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Billfo might know. He took a pic of the fuel tank in his Lund 1800 Fisherman:

The thread above might also point to the real problem with the fuel sending unit... if you use Seafoam fuel additive.

After checking out the Moeller Marine site for permanent fuel tanks, I recognized the right shape of the fuel tank on my boat. I was under the impression that my fuel tank was a 40 US gallon tank but now I' m not sure since that pictures that match my type of tank are only 25US gallon capacity. Does anyone know for sure what size was used in these boats?

I have a 2008 Lund brochure. In '08 Lund changed the length designations of their Fisherman models to more accurately reflect the actual length. What was previously known as the 1700 Fisherman is now the 1750 Fisherman; what was 1800 is now 1850.

Anyway, the brochure shows the 1850 Fisherman has a 40 gallon fuel tank.

Thanks for the info. I had a chance to have a look at my boat today and to my amazement discovered that the fuel tank in my boat is only a 32US gallon capacity. This information came right off the Moeller label on the tank. The tank measures 73" long by 18.75" wide by 5.5" deep. It also identified the tank as model number FT3218 and when I checked the Moeller website I couldn't find aything that matches that model number. It could be that this particular tank size has been discontinued.
