Control Cables

I was wondering what length control cables i would need for a 1974 Glastron V156. I recently purschased a 1978 Mercury 700 70 hp motor and it didnt have any controls. Also wondering if i buy a control and it has longer cables if i can just loop them and tie them to my desired length. Any info would be extremly helpful new to the boating world.

Hi,

Measure from where the box mounts to the rear of the boat, then to the center of the engine. add 12"s and that is what you will need unless you have to go up, down and around other things. You can to a large coil if needed.
