I have a 87-89 Mariner 30ELO SN#689 L 422091. I can not get fuel to the cylinder I have replaced the fuel tank, replaced fuel line up to the carburetor. Replaced the spark plugs, the old plugs looked wet (the boat has been sitting out side for the past four years). When I crank it over it does not fire. I removed the spark plugs shot some ether in the plug holes and it fired. The carb seems to be working fine. Thoughts?

Is the needle and seat stuck closed? I bet the carb is gummed up and is in need of rebuilding from sitting.

I second that, carbs would be my first thought. Check to see that the bowls are full when you take them off.
