i've got a 6 hsp evinrude outboard motor model #6905e,the problem i'm having is it takes seven or eight pulls to start it ,i noticed the bottom spark plug gets spark but the top doesn't get any ,compression is 65 psi in both could the problem be in the coil for the upper plug ( cause theres two ) or would the problem be in the power pack, and would you have these in your ebay store ,and how much and how long to get ,also is it possible to buy a troubleshooting book with diagrams and parts list, on this type motor.............thanks for your advise.........jerry from las vegas

Parts can be purchased on this site. See top of page (Johnson Parts/Evinrude Parts). I'm out of those items in my eBay store.

Temporarily switch the orange (primary) wires leading from the powerpack to the coils. If the non firing coil now fires, then obviously it is okay. If the non firing coil still doesn't fire, then consider the coil bad.

If both coils check out okay, then the usual problem is the powerpack.
