Counter Rotation

I am getting ready to install new inpellers in my Alpha 1 Outdrives. They both rotate in same direction (clockwise) Are they counter rotation or does it really matter as long as I put impellers back in the way they came out...

With out sounding dumb, id say the way it came out is the way they go in.

Put the impeller on the shaft and install the plastic housing and gasket. Shove it down and it will turn in the right direction.

If you have an alpha I drive (90 and older) the impeller will change to the right direction, even if you install it wrong.
