2002 Yamaha SX150 Saltwater Series HP Fuel Pump

Has anyone ever had a HP fuel pump go out on a SX150 (2002 Saltwater Series) Yamaha? With 12VDC on the pump terminals there is no fuel coming from the pump outlet. Bad pump or something else.

you can buy new one on ebay $450

it is not looking good for your fuel pump. i have hard of people using penitrating oil and a direct battery connection to brake it free. if you do replace the fuel pump, you should replace your fuel filters and add a 10 micron pre-filter if you do not have one.

Do a search for testing hp pump to make sure you are testing properly or get a manual. I am not sure about yours but some have 12 volts as long as key is on but ECU grounds to turn pump on when it wants it to run.
