2003 johnson 90hp stalls out when put in gear

This motor runs normally throught throttle ranges when first run but after you shut down for awhile when you put it in gear and throttled up it stalls it restarts fine but stalls again when throttle is applied in gear. It idles fine in gear but stalls when throttled up. Any ideas. I think this has throttle body injection not carbs
