CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION?

I recently got a 1969 OMC electric shift gearcase for a 120-140 hp engine. The thing is, is that my engine is a 225 hp and the gears were smaller in that. Now the gears in the 120-140 are bigger. So does anyone know if this is ok to do, or will the 225 hp just mess-up the gears and clutches? I would really appreciate it if someone knew.<br /><br /> Thanks.

DON'T DO IT ! IT WILL NOT WORK WELL NOT FOR LONG ANYWAY THE GEARS AND GEAR RATIO ARE DIFFERENT YOU NEED THE ONE FOR THE HP ENGINE YOU HAVE
