I cant figure out how to drop the lower unit on my outboard. Ive loosened all the bolts and the back has dropped about a 1/4 inch but it wont come off. I dont have a manual because I thought this would be simple. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Thanks

I had a hard time getting the lower unit off my 1988 115hp. If you're sure you have all the bolts and screws off and as long as the shifter is not physically connected (not familiar with that model), then it is the connection between the drive shaft and the crank shaft. That booger is hard to break free, but that's all it was on mine. I think as long as your working to get the lower unit straight down, you'll be fine to put some muscle into it. Good luck.

Did you remove trim tab on the foot? If not , remove it to get at the bolt under it , trim bolt is under the plug at the top back of the foot. Should have to remove about 7 bolts and nut in all.
