Houseboat Trailer

Looking for some help? I have a 43 foot Crest pontoon houseboat I am wanting to relocate to another body of water. Does anyone know where a fellow could get a trailer to haul it on or a custom one built? I don't think it will weigh much over 15,000 pounds so a tri axle would be plenty big enough.

Round these parts they just back a semi trailer down the ramp and run it up on it and away you go.

Semi trailer is probably your best bet... on a 43' boat... semi trailer is 53'

If your not going far, you should be able to get it done for around 500 or less I would think.

...Might also look around for people who own big Goose Neck flat beds, and pay them to move it... but truckers have insurance for moving stuff, farmer joe's insurance might not cover your boat if his trailer brakes and destroys it.

I would think your boat is wider than 8.5 ft, therefore you will be needing wide load permit, I would hire a boat hauler, they give you a flat fee plus they will take care of all paper work and maybe a milage charge would also apply, even so it would still probably be cheaper than buying or building a trailer of that size.
