Engine overheated (bad impellor), change oil?

My merc 3.0 overheated due to a bad impeller. Was driving, heard a ticking from the motor, looked down and I was in the red. Immediately shut her down and paddled/walked back to the dock. Impeller was completely toast and has been replaced, along with full seals, boots, bearing, etc while I was at it.

Before I drop it in I'm wondering if I should change the oil. Any advice? We're talking like $30 for oil and filter, so better safe than sorry - unless I'm being ridiculous and the oil is perfectly fine... I have no idea.

Temp should not have damaged the oil unless you broke something and it is milky colored. Same oil pressure before and after? When did you change the oil last? How many hours of operation? What oil viscosity? If nothing else is bad, and the oil is "fresh" then I don't see it as necessary.
