I have been having problems with my 2007 efi 60hp 4 stroke mercury outboard motor. When I start the motor it shakes , and when i put full throttle i am only getting half of my horse power. Then sometimes it will kick in and i will get full power, this went on like this for a few weekends, and now i only get half power all the time. I have checked fuel filter, changed spark plugs and put all new fuel and fuel cleaner in, and still same half power. There are no alarms going of to indicate any problems. I am mechanically inclined but am out of ideas , could someone please give me a few more suggestions to try. Would greatly appreciate it as i am unable to take it for servicing due to the fact that i am currently out of work because my plant closed therefore i do not have the money to get it looked at and would rather fix it myself if I can.

Thanks in advance

Had the same problem on a Mercury 1984 2 stroke, it would run wide open for a while then would shut down to 1/2 power or sometimes shut all the way down. I had a gas line lose where it goes into the tank. I cut about one and a half inches off put it back on replaced the clamp, problem fixed. Now it will run wide opening with no problem. It was hard too find didn't think about it getting air in gas line.
