I need help locating the correct cable for a 2000 evinrude 70 hp. we have bought the software and supposedly correct cable, alltho the cable we got will not connect to the 4 wire round plug at the engine. so, I was hoping to find the pin net/drawing of the cable. all I need to know is where the wires go from the 9 pin comp connector to the 4 pin engine connector. I have been fighting this dog for awhile now. Will the suzuki df70 cable work?
I will buy it if I can find it at a reasonable price, and 300.00 is just not reasonable. any help would be nice.

You need to buy the factory cable from either BRP or Suzuki. You can't just make a cable, there is a communication box wired into the cable to enable the computer to read the data coming from the engine.
