I have a 1987 Seaswirl runabout 351 ford with and OMC IO.
I am looking for a mechanic to repair or adjust the throttle cable (shift cable). I have read the Blogs online or repairing OMC's but readily discovered that I am not the one who should be doing this! ha!
It is really tough to get it in gear from the start. Also once in gear and the boat has run a bit on plane and deccelerated it is then impossible to get it into neutral. I have to turn off the engine to bring it back into neutral.
Does anyone know a good mechanic... I know the OMC Cobra is not a highly desired system, however, I would like to get it fixed. HELP!
