Merc trim issue

I got a strange problem with my 2002 bayliner 4.3 merc.
Today, the trim went down while in the water however when i tried to get the trim back up to trailer the my boat...nothing.
What's strange is the pump will work while pressing the down trim but nothing moves? when I press the up trim, nothing, no motor noise at all and it does not move at all.

I took the switch apart and jumped the wires and exactly same thing.

I don't know what part of the solenoid I would have to jump the find out if it is the solenoid? any help with suggestions or pictures of where i need to look would be appreciated.

check the relays thier is one for up and one for down probably bad relay switch the relays see if that now allows you to go up if so relay is bad

thanks for the info. Are the relays located under the dash beside the fuse panel?

should be on the motor two square boxes sorry just saw your motor im not sure where they would be on yours

hi,

Find you trim pump on the transom and follow the wires from the motor to the solenoids.
