Ihave a 1990ish mariner 75hp (butterfly cowling) on a dateline bikini. My engine will raise on the power trim but will not go back down, i thought it could be low current in my battery but that is not the case. Any ideas will be much appreciated!
Time to buy a new solenoid or power trim relay (depending on how new your system is). Should cost you all of $15 and about 30 minutes of work. Same thing happened to me when I just bought my used 89 Mariner 75hp. I was happy to find out it was just a solenoid- they seem to go bad easily.
