Since I got this old(1954) 15HP rude the rubber mounts for the cowl were worn out and it made an annoying rattle while trolling. Changed the water pump out today and decided to see if I could fabricate some new cowl dampers. Figured out to use 5/16" fuel hose along w/ 5/8" heater hose. By pushing the small hose inside the large one I was able copy the upper one and the two lower ones. Thank goodness, no more rattle!!!
