I have an older bayliner that has a bad valve in the 4th cylinder (90psi) all the others read right at 180 psi. Heres the question. . .can I change out the head on this to upgrade in horsepower? Will a head off a 3.7 work, a 4.0 r do I have to replace the same thing?
I think it would be worth it to keep this barge for another year or 2 if it could be upgraded for less than $1500.00 but if there is a bigger expense than that I may just put 2 gas cans in the back and run it over the dam!

The head off the 3.7 is made by Ford and you have a Chevy engine. I dont think the 4.0 head will work either. Why can't you rebuild the head you have? Are you sure its just a valve problem?
