Hi. I have a 4hp mercury outboard serial number 3306048. My son and I are having all sorts of trouble getting it going. The carburetor did have old gas in it. I disassembled it and cleaned everything. It has the Thunderbolt ignition.
Trying to start it. We can get a little smoke and the odd sputter but that is it. There is fuel going into the fuel pump bowl but it does seem to be having a problem getting proper flow to the engine.
