Default Yamaha 2004, 60 hp, 704 remote control

Trying to find the Netural safty switch on the 704 control. Found two brown wires but don't know where they go or their function. Then there are a number of colored wires, two different connectors all coming out of the bottom of the 704 housing.
If I jump the solenoid the engine runs good. But just turning the key get no response. It does have the push choke ign. switch. Thanks for any help. Jim

Can't find the neutral safety switch. The housing on the 704 is quite long with a few side plates but have yet to find the switch. Wondered if jumping the two brown wires(from the switch) will let the engine start. Jumping the solenoid all the time is a pain. Thanks, Jim

switch is inside the box, thats why the brown wires exit it.
box must be partially dissasembled and the black plastic cover removed for access.

Thanks for your answer. I have removed the 704 box and found the neutral safety switch but there is no power going to the switch, no mater what position the ignition/start switch is in?? Starting to check for continunity between the engine wires and the control console etc. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks again, Jim

Hi again, Yes the red power wire is hot and the fuse is good at the engine. I don't have an engine wiring diagram for this 2004 Yamaha 60 hp, model: 60TLRC .
Do not have power at the Brown wire (neutral safety switch) in the shift 704 remote control. Battery (Neg)has two small wires going into the boat and the (Pos) has one red stripped wire going into the boat.
Ignition switch has no effect, only way to start engine is to leave the key in the "on" position and jump the solenoid, engine starts and runs fine.
Thanks for any help, Jim
