Wondering if i can fit 30hp Mariner long shaft powerhead onto a 25hp Mariner short shaft. 25 is a 1974 model, not sure on the 30 but seems to be the same vintage. Cowling fits, starter the same just worried about spline and bolt alignment. Exhaust and tell tale seem to be in similiar location. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just answered my own question, pulled leg of both out boards, shaft size is totally different actually over kill for an extra 5hp.. Just have to live with a long shaft unless i can find short one somewhere. Thanks to those who looked but where unable to answer. Keep those lines tight. Cheers Smithy
