Mercruiser part no. 91-93656A 1

Does anyone have a picture of this tool they could post for me?

I can't find a picture anywhere, only a price, which I don't like at all.

I'm sure I could make a field expedient installer. Seem like it would consist of a length of threaded rod, a thick steel disc, and a nut. Threaded rod goes into the crank, disc bolts to rotor, threaded rod is held fast while nut is tightened against plate.

Am I off base?

That tool is for installing a power steering pump pulley.
You need a Harmonic Balancer installation tool.
You may be able to rent one at a local automotive parts store.

Are you kidding? Go to the junkyard and buy a pw-steering pump for $10-$15

Pay attention. He isn't looking for a power steering pump, he's trying to install alternator rotor on a 470 type engine.

Yes, the Kent-Moore Special Tools number J21058-20, but I guess I got lost in googleworld and came up with that first part number incorrectly.

Sounds like a generic harmonic balaner installer will work. Thanks.
