Purchasing Boat with 2004 250hp HPDI

I am looking at a boat with twin 250 hp HPDI's. I would appreciate any and all feedback on these engines good or bad. I am also contacting certified mech but opinions of boat owners is also needed.

Anyone have any info?

carefully check the engine PID to make sure ALL updates have been done.

Rodbolt: Can you explain what the engine PID is?

I'm about to buy a 2004 225 Vmax HPDI and will have to check up on the updates too.

The problem with binging up old threads and asking questions of people that answered questions way back then is that they are not all still visiting the web site and Rod just happens to be one of them that does not.

Not sure what PID stands for but I believe it is the Identification #(serial) of the motor. Talk to your Yamaha dealer
