I pump the primer bulb for the gas, and it feels like it fills up, but does not expand and get hard, instead it feels full, but does not expand out after releasing it. Is this something normal?

Re: primer bulb question

Double check the fuel flow indictor on ball and then make sure your tank is vented correctly. Sounds like your trying to pull a vacuum.

Luck in you efforts ya'll

Does sound like a restriction somewhere or an air leak in the hoses.

Re: primer bulb question

Boat has a permanent gas tank, and it looks like I need to tear apart the front to get to it. How do I check to see if it is vented correctly?

Also, what is the fuel flow indictor on ball? I an pretty new to boats, and am not sure what this is. I will do some searching though

thanks so far :)

The bulb has an arrow on it. It should point in the direction of your motor.
