Default 1967 Evinrude fly wheel

I'm currently tearing down a 1967 40hp Evinrude. I am trying to get the fly wheel off. I have a fly wheel puller and I am using a strap wrench to keep the motor from turning. I am having trouble getting it off. I used a cheater bar to get more leverage and still can't get it off. I have the motor mounted to a saw horse and I'm doing it by myself. It's never been taken off either. I just don't want to put too much pressure on it and brake something. Any suggestions? Thanks

It's not clear what your problem is ... removing the flywheel nut, or pulling the flywheel off the crank shaft?

Do a search of the forum for "flywheel" ... there are tons of previous postings about removing both the nut and the flywheel!
