I went to diner Sunday night, had a couple of coctails and Monday morning I own a 1988 Four Winn 241 with dual 350s and OMC outdrives. The Port 1 outdrive is bad, where do I go from here? Any help is greatly appreciated.
This Sunday take someone you do not like to dinner and give them a couple of cocktails and then they will own two OMC drives that are hard to get parts for. OMC has been out of business for 13 years.
Your next options is to find a used OMC drive on e-bay o craigslist.
There is a kit to convert the drive to alpha 1, but not sure if you can run an OMC and Merc at the same time. Gear ratio would have to be the same.
I have found some people on the net that say they repair them.realy like the looks of the boat but don't know anything about its performance or anything. 88model twin 350s 275hp? 250 hrs on meter looks like fresh water use.any direction would help.I build hot rods but boats are new.last one was a nova in 1974. thanks
